When and where is Google I/O 2023?

I/O is thrilled to welcome back a small number of in-person attendees in Mountain View, CA. The event will be held on May 10, 2023, featuring live keynotes at Shoreline Amphitheatre and additional in-person programming. Register by May 3 to join.

How do I use this website?

Most of the information that’s relevant to you will be in the Shoreline section of this website. Here you’ll find information on travel and accommodations, the in-person schedule, and more.
Your registration also grants you access to the virtual program on the rest of the I/O website, which includes on-demand and livestreamed content, online learning, and product announcements.

Who should attend Google I/O 2023 in person?

A select audience has been invited to this year’s in-person event. This enables us to deliver an intimate experience while better managing the safety of attendees and employees.
Anyone can join the virtual event online on the public website. If you can’t attend in person, you’re encouraged to sign up there to tune into on-demand content and livestreamed announcements.

What does registration include for the in-person Google I/O experience?

By registering, you'll be able to attend and view the keynotes live from Shoreline.
It also gives you access to exclusive information on this website under the “Shoreline” section, in addition to all of the virtual on demand and livestreamed content from the digital I/O experience.

What happens if I don’t register?

As an invite-only event, only registered attendees will be able to participate in person.

What should I wear?

Google I/O is an outdoor event, so please be comfortable and casual. There is no enforced dress code. The Bay Area can get very hot during the day and chilly in the evenings, so take this into consideration when planning your attire.

What are the onsite food options?

Attendees are offered complimentary breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.

If I lose something, where can I find it?
-
The lost and found station will be located at the Conference Information Desk during event hours. Any items left overnight will be turned over to the Conference Security Office. One important detail: Google I/O badges are NOT replaceable, so don't lose yours or you won’t be readmitted to the conference.

Can you accommodate my accessibility needs?
-
Google strives to make events open and accessible to everyone. We welcome any information or requests for certain accommodations through our registration form and/or by emailing us at io@google.com. This information will be kept private and will be distributed only to the individuals who need to know it to accommodate your request. Otherwise, please approach the Help Desk at Google I/O if you need assistance or have questions about accessibility during the event.
Shoreline Amphitheatre is an entirely outdoor venue. Keynotes will take place in open air. All areas of the venue are accessible for wheelchair users. Wheelchairs can be checked out at the First Aid station and returned at the end of the day. Additionally, there will be a service dog relief area.
We’ll provide live real-time transcription (CART) for the keynotes. Captioned text displayed on a large screen at the front of the room will be accessible to all attendees. We’ll also use the text to provide captions for our livestream and post-event recordings. Audio descriptions will be available on YouTube for keynotes after the event.
If you need an ASL interpreter or sighted guide to accompany you at Google I/O, please let us know during registration and we’ll be happy to provide one for you. We’ll do our best to find a technical translator who is familiar with the domain, but please keep in mind that the interpreter probably won’t be able to meet with the speakers beforehand.
ADA parking spaces will be available. When arriving at the venue, please follow signs for ADA parking. Please have your placard hanging from your rearview mirror and visible to parking employees at all times to expedite the parking process. Accessible parking spaces are readily available on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do you support expectant parents attending Google I/O?

We’ll have expectant parent parking spaces in the ADA parking lot.
There will be lactation lounges open on [May 10 between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM]. Sign up sheets will be available in front of the lactation lounges and usage is first-come, first-served. Please see the conference help desk for more information and email io@google.com if you need parking assistance.
Childcare reimbursement of USD $100 per day (not exceeding USD $200 total) will be offered to parents attending that express interest in childcare via our registration form, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our childcare reimbursement is offered through a third-party vendor. If your request for childcare is approved by us via email before the conference starts and your onsite attendance is confirmed, our vendor will reach out to you with next steps within 7 business days following Google I/O. They will manage all disbursement of our childcare disbursement.

Registration Terms
By registering you acknowledge that your information will be used in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
You may not register on behalf of anyone else. Google I/O registration must be used by the original registrant and is non-transferable.
All information entered into the registration form must be correct and accurate to the best of your knowledge. All information must be entered in English. Some of the information entered (such as name and company), will be displayed to other users if you contribute to Q&As or participate in Chat.
Attendees must be at least 18 years of age to attend Google I/O. By registering, you are attesting that you are 18 years of age or older.
Attendance at Google I/O is not allowed by the following:
- Residents of or individuals ordinarily resident in embargoed countries; or
- Individuals otherwise prohibited by applicable exports controls or local law.
You agree to be solely responsible for your own safety, belongings, and well-being while participating in Google I/O. Google LLC and its affiliates will not be liable for your participation in Google I/O.
Event conduct
By registering you agree to follow the Community Guidelines and Anti-Harassment Policy.
Sales and gifts
Registration may not be sold, bartered, auctioned, or transferred in any way, and doing so may result in Google rendering the ticket null and void without any responsibility to Google.
By registering and accepting any discounts, gifts, or items of value related to Google I/O, you certify that you are able to do so in compliance with applicable laws and the internal rules of your organization.
No solicitation or selling of items or services is allowed at Google I/O. Any attendee conducting these activities may be removed from the event.
Recording and photography policy
Photographs and/or video taken at Google I/O by Google, or others on behalf of Google, may include your image or likeness. You agree that Google may use such photographs and/or video for any purpose without compensation to you.
Communications
Applicants and attendees can request the deletion of their registration data after the event ends by emailing io-online@google.com.
All registered attendees agree to allow Google to contact them regarding their registration and attendance at the event. By registering, you agree to allow Google to communicate with you via email with information regarding the event.
