Rick Osterloh

Rick joined Google in April 2016 as Senior Vice President overseeing Google’s Devices & Services efforts — which include products like Pixel phones, the Google Nest family of smart home devices, the Fitbit portfolio of smartwatches and activity trackers, subscription services like Google One and Google Fi, and more — all bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware. Rick already has a long and successful track record in the consumer hardware and technology industry based on his work over the last 20+ years. Prior to joining Google, he was the President of Motorola Mobility. Before becoming President in April 2014, he was SVP of product at Motorola, responsible for the planning, strategy and delivery of all products. He served as VP of product and design at Skype, led the delivery of software and operation of the Android platform at Motorola, and was in charge of product management at Good Technology. Rick has also held consulting and product management positions at Deloitte & Touche, Amazon.com, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Rick received a bachelor's and master’s degree in industrial engineering, as well as an MBA from Stanford University. He is a staunch Golden State Warriors supporter and enjoys playing basketball in his spare time. Rick also serves on the Board of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), which aims to develop better athletes and better people through resources for youth and high school sports coaches, parents, administrators, and student-athletes.
