Petra Cross

As a Google Wallet backend engineer, Petra focuses on bringing delightful digital passes experience to Google users around the world. She develops the suite of Passes APIs including REST, JWT-based, and Android SDK APIs that helps developers provision and distribute passes and provide relevant updates for Wallet users. During her 17 years with Google, Petra also developed a frontend serving stack at Google Pay, engineering productivity tools at Gmail Frontend, and created data pipelines for evaluating improvements to Google Search ranking algorithms. Petra studied computer science at University of Žilina in Slovakia and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Santa Clara University in California.
