Michael Gilbert

Michael is a senior user experience researcher on the Material Design team. His research has spanned component usability, accessibility, Material for enterprise, digital wellbeing, ethical computing, and context-sensitive computing. Most recently, Michael has focused on researching the human-computer interaction (HCI) fundamentals for the Material Design system, aiming to provide a user-centered research foundation for all our patterns and components across all the contexts in which those patterns and components may be deployed.
